Hey Stephen, I am interested in working on martha's vineyard or nantucket for summer 09 and I have run across your great web sites, exactly what I was looking for. Any other info you would be willing to share for a job seeker and also on places where I people stay when they come? Im trying to get a group of friends to come and work also!

Hi Stephen, I wish I could and I would LOVE to! But I just don't think it will work out for me this late in the season this time around. Maybe next summer. Thanks for checking in with me, and hope you're having a great summer on the island!
Thanks for getting back to me Stephen, and don't worry about the delay, I actually just got back from Martha's Vineyard which as always was a great vacation. I got in contact with a restaurant supplier there who is friends with my father, and who has excellent contacts in the restaurant business. So I think I'm doing well in that field regarding having a serving job, but I'm wondering if there are any small marketing, broadcasting, or advertising jobs I could get in with. I know this request may be too specific or lofty for an island job, but that's where my biggest interests lie and it would be great to know what kind of options I have.
Thanks for your help, and please don't inconvenience yourself in trying to get back me quickly. Just whenever you have time, I'd love to hear your feedback.
I'm a student looking to work on Martha's Vineyard in the summer of '09. Any suggestions of a specific place where I should start my job search? Thanks, and I love that there is a site for Island Jobs, it's fantastic!
I would work as a bar back, bus boy in a restaurant and helping out on the docks at a marina. I have experience operating boats. Businesses that accommodate living would be perfect. i hope to hear back from you soon. Thanks
Thanks! Glad you like the photos - they are all from BI of course.
My gallery is in Soho, NYC, and after 10+ years working there it's time to find something new www.MultipleImpressions.com). I think I started looking for BI work a little too late, but I'm still looking. So far the positions I applied for at the Sulivan House and the Blue Dory were already filled, though I was offered a waitressing job for Saturday events at the Sullivan House. I'm looking for basically anything that will get me through the summer and that would ideally offer some type of housing. I know the island well, and have lots of years of experience in customer service. And believe me, if I can gracefully handle with people in NYC, I can handle with anyone. :)
