According to the Block Island Times, on the evening of July 5, 26 year old Matt Fortuna, a member of this site, was hanging out in the Ball O'Brien Park on West side road when he suddenly collapsed to the ground. U.S. Coast Guard Station Block Island will officially conduct the annual seasonal closure for the summer boating season on Tuesday, September 7th 2010.

Looks like there's a good chance we'll be seeing some effects of Earl this weekend on Block Island.
