No i think early to mid august, so i will only really be out there for a month. Which i guess is tough since most employers would like you to be out there for the entire summer.

Thank you for your help, I did contact Rob, but it turns out that I cant work at camp Mohegan because I wont be able to work for the full amount of time that they want me to work due to my school schedule. So i am still on the job hunt. And sorry for the late comment, I just wanted to make sure that I had spoken to Rob before contacting you again.

Thank you again for your help.

It's okay and my apologies as well for a late comment! The only place I've heard from is the Atlantic Inn. I decided that I was going to start looking again in the new year since I haven't heard from many places! Thanks for the advice!

Hello,

I hope all is well. I know its early in the year, but i would like to get a jump start on my job hunt. I am currently looking for a job on Block Island this summer, I am going to be there the month of july, and possibly to mid august. I am not in need of employee housing. I have worked on the island for the past two years. Last summer I worked in the dock office at Champlins, and at a dress shop in town, also I babysat for various families. But for this coming summer, I was wondering if Camp Mohegan had any counselor positions available? I also sail, and play tennis, and i was also wondering if you knew if the Block Island Club had any paying jobs available? I tried contacting them last year, but it seemed that at the time they were only hiring interns, which isnt very useful since i need a paying job.If you have any other job suggestions for me, it would be of greatly appreciated. Your website is really helpful. Thank you for your time!

I've been attempting to find a job in Block Island, but unfortunately it has been a struggle to find one and living. I've called almost every store, restaurant, and hotel, but not many have been picking up. Is there anything else I can do?

Hello! I have been to the island countless times since I
was a young child. I used to travel to the island via my
parents boat atleast twice a summer and the island was
Known as our annual vacation. Weve stayed at almost every
Marina in new harbor, the anchorage and the mooring field.
After selling our boat a few years back we have vacationed
In a couple different rental houses and condos and have traveled
To the island for day trips numerous times. I spent
All but three weeks of the summer of 2008 on the island.
My favorite thing about Block Island is the overall state
Of mind the island puts you in. It's so peaceful and serene
And the geography of the island is breathtaking.
